Maspalomas is made up of the beach resorts of Aguila, Las Burras, San Agustin and Playa del Ingles. In total you will find 17 km of wonderful coastline with sand dunes, wide sandy beaches, shallow waters and an excellent all year round climate. Needless to say a paradise for beach lovers and family holiday makers.
Maspalomas is classed as a more up market resort with many 5 star hotels, luxury residences and the largest golf course in Gran Canaria. Located between Playa del Ingles and Maspolmas are sand dunes which have been declared a natural protected area. Because the sand dunes are protected land you are only allowed to cross on foot and on camels. By doing so you will feel like you are in a different part of the world.
The sand dunes are also a favourite place for nudists and gays.

An attraction which is worth seeing close to the Oasis is the Faro de Maspalomas. Faro de Maspalomas is a lighthouse built in 1886 and stands an impressive 65 meters high and guides many ships both large and small in the near by seas.
Although a wonderful place to sit by and relax there is much more entertainment and fun to be found just a few kilometres north of Maspalomas. Further North you will find the Aquapark, Holiday World (amusement park), Sioux City (Wild West theme park) and Mundo Aborigen (Aboriginal world theme park).
